Jiangling sales in March total 22000 units
Gasgoo.com (Shanghai April 7) - Jiangling Motors Group manufactured and sold respective totals of 21,500 and 22,000 vehicles last month, Caijing reported today. Compared with the manufacturer's performance in March of last year, the figures were 7.14 percent and 0.52 percent higher.
Despite the slight increase in its total sales numbers, year-on-year sales of both Ford commercial vehicles and JMC trucks both fell from 2011, totaling 5,926 units (decreasing 2.7%) and 7,193 units (decreasing 8.0%), respectively. The sales increase relied on JMC pick up trucks and SUVs, respective sales of which totaled 8,352 units (increasing 21.3%) and 8,416 units (increasing 9.1%).
According to its latest performance report, the manufacturer sold a total of 52,700 vehicles in the first three months of the years. Combined sales of JMC branded pick up trucks and SUVs over the three month period totaled 22,000 units. In an analysis on the manufacturer, China Merchants Securities expects JMC's sales to rise later in the year.
In other news, JMC's stock rose 2.46 percent this week, ending at 22.05 yuan ($3.497).
