Great Wall debuts 1.5 L turbocharged Haval H6

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai September 29) - Great Wall's 1.5 L turbocharged Haval H6 SUV has made its official Chinese market debut today, autohome.com.cn reported. The H6 will be priced between 100,800 and 119,800 yuan ($15,923-$18,925).

The H6's (pictured) 1.5 turbocharged engine uses variable valve timing technology to achieve a maximum output of 150 hp and 210 Nm of torque. The engine boasts a higher output than the 2.0 L naturally aspirated motor used in the current H6. It is mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The H6's per 100 km fuel consumption rate is measured to be 7.7 L.

With the new engine, the SUV is currently available with four different power choices, helping Great Wall cover more of the market.

The new H6 doesn't offer very many other changes from the current version, with front airbags, electric rearview mirror, rear seat vents and USB ports all available as standard features. The premium H6 comes with even more options, including tire pressure monitoring, a navigation system, side airbags, parking sensors and a multifunctional steering wheel.
