Preview on Chinese Zotye’s coming models in three years

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai August 26) - With the surging of SUV market, Zotye Auto sales rose 43.86 percent in the first half from a year earlier, well above the overall growth rate of Chinese domestic auto brands of 7 percent.

Wu Jianzhong, chairman of the company announced plans for a new car for the next three years in a press release.

According to Wu, The company pays much attention to the market in the southwest through hold an auto show in Chengdu. The showpieces include X5 (called“DaMai”inChinese) and S21 SUV, 2015 model year T600 SUV 1.5T/2.0T and family version, Z700 the company’s first C segment car and Z500 middle-sized car, and E200A alternative fueled vehicle.

The new products structure reveals Zotye’s concentration on SUV. It releases the first model of its new S Series, S21, a compact SUV, primarily targeting at younger consumer group.

Later this year, Zotye will also launch its first large-sized automobile Zotye Z700 as its flagship brand. Sesame E30 and two pure electric cars will be released within the year. Through enriching product line, Zotye automobile plans to meet the market demand, and thereby strengthening its status in the market and realizing market share expansion.

Wu added that in addition to the SUVs market segment, the automaker thinks high of the alternative fueled vehicle market with more new hybrid plug-ins to be introduced next year, so that the company can sustain an annual growth of 100,000 units and the annual sales target of 500,000 by 2018.

In the next three years, Zotye will continue to add more new SUV into its portfolio, including Zotye M11, M12 compact SUV, and Zotye T700, X7, T800 middle-sized SUV. Zotye will also launch two MPV models A40 and B40, with B40 positioned slightly higher than the A40.

In the EV market, Zotye B15h plug-in electric hybrid models will be launched within the next three years.
