Large air displacement vehicle lights up the imports

According to the Customs' statistics, in the first 10 months of 2006 China had imported 0.18m vehicles with 41 percent increase to the previous year, in which the SUV jumped a 33 % to 69884 units.

The SUV with above 2.5L air displacement take an 89% proportion of the imported, and 50% are with above 3L air displacement. The import of SUV with large air displacement haven’t been shrunk but boosted since the administration increased the vehicle excise in Apr, 2006. Presently, the SUV with large air displacement overtook the mainstream of showed models, and 90% of them with above 3L air displacement.
