Europe listed the second largest export market for Chinese vehicles
According to reports from China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products, Europe has become the second largest market for China's auto export in 2006.
China exported to a total of 186 countries and regions in the world, a slight increase from the 179 in 2005, which include 43 Asia countries, 51 Africa countries, 34 European countries, 40 South America countries, 4 North America countries and 14 Oceania countries.
Exports to 7 countries and regions were over US$1 billion, which is more than that of 2005. With an export amount of US$350 million or 38,000 vehicles, Russia has jumped from No. 6 in 2005 to the top in 2006 in the list of China export volumes to foreign market. Regarding the categories of exports to continents, with Asia listed at the top, Europe has taken the second place instead of Africa, followed by Africa, South America, North America and Oceania.
China complete vehicle export volumes and margins has doubled again in 2006 after consecutive growth for 3 years. Complete vehicle exports were 343,500, up 97.2% year-on-year; Vehicle exports were US$3.134 billion, up 97.8% year-on-year.
