BJ-Hyundai & DYK offering big discounts
Stimulated by Dongfeng Yueda Kia Automobile's sales promotional campaign, Hyundai Motor Co.'s automobile venture in China starts to offer incentives to its dealers to reverse a sales decline, underscoring the top South Korean automaker's struggle in the world's second-largest vehicle market.
Dealers at Beijing Hyundai Motor Co. are receiving incentives of as much as 18,000 yuan for a Sonata sedan and as much as 13,000 yuan for an Elantra compact car and the two models are sold at 121.800 and 91.800 yuan currently.
Started last week, DYK launched heavy promotional discounts to all lineup models. Kia Optima sees a price drop by 16% or a maximum of 32,000 yuan, at the same time Kia Carnival sees piece-cut of 9.2% to 195,800 yuan for the first time.
