Volkswagen Multivan, Eos to hit Chinese market in March next year

Shanghai. October 08 (Gasgoo.com) - Volkswagen Multivan, a crossover vehicle displayed at Chengdu Auto Show last week, will come to Chinese market along with Eos,a convertible vehicle, by the first quarter next year, a senior official from Volkswagen Imports and Sales Company announced.

Multivan will compete with Viano of Benz in Chinese market, CEO of Volkswagen Imports and Sales Company said. Currently, Viano is sold at approximately 600,000 yuan (US$79,945) in Chinese market.

The company says the prices of these two model have not been determined so far, but "they will be very attractive to Chinese buyers."

Multivan is powered by 3.2L V6 gasoline engine with maximum output of 173 Kilowatts and maximum torque 350 Nm/2950 rpm. The vehicle is also equipped with 6 speed auto transmission gearbox.

Zhang Ye, a senior marketing manager of Volkswagen Imports and Sales company said Multivan and Eos, a Volkswagen convertible is most likely to hit Chinese market in March next year.
