Grupo Antolín makes auto door panels, pillars in China

Shanghai, June 6 (Gasgoo.com) Spanish auto-parts maker Grupo Antolín Irausa SA is fortifying its position in China by partnering with local manufacturers. The Spanish company's new joint venture in Ningbo will boost its growth in both the Chinese and global markets.

Grupo Antolín, a Spanish manufacturer of interior car parts, has set up a 50-50 joint venture with Chinese auto-parts supplier Ningbo Huaxing Electronic Co. Ltd. The joint venture, Ningbo Antolin Huaxing Auto Parts Co. Ltd. located in Ningbo city of east China, will develop and manufacture door panels and pillars for China's automobile industry.

The new Chinese joint operation is expected to generate sales of 30 million euros (328.7 million yuan) during its first three years after the partners have invested around 10 million euros. Antolín hopes the joint venture will boost its position, not only in the Chinese market but in the Asian and world markets as well.

Meanwhile, Grupo Antolín signed a deal to acquire a 30% stake in South Korean interior components molder Dongwon Technology Co. Ltd., which makes interior parts including door panels, pillars and sun visors in Xiangshan, near Ningbo.

Grupo Antolín has also established a technical and commercial subsidiary, Grupo Antolín-Korea based in Seoul, to support its work with Korean automotive groups Hyundai, Kia and Renault Samsung Motors.
