Presale of Lynk & Co 01’s global version begins in China, Europe

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Lynk & Co, part of Zhejiang Geely Holdings' automotive portfolio that also includes Volvo Cars, Polestar and Lotus, started on Oct. 21 the presale of the global version of its Lynk & Co 01 compact SUV in China and Europe. With three variants offered, the new model is priced between 208,800 yuan (€26,480) and 238,800 yuan (€30,285) in presale.

Compared to the existing Lynk & Co 01, the global version retains the split-type headlights which are seamlessly connected by the wide grille, while the front looks cleaner and more dynamic thanks to the design change at the bumper.

As the side profile, the chrome-plated lines below the side skirt add more essence of exquisiteness to the global version. The design of the rear is quite in tune with that of the front, particularly the similarly bold light pattern.

The Lynk & Co 01's global version measures 4,549mm long, 1,860mm wide and 1,689mm tall, and has a wheelbase spanning 2,734mm.

As to the interior, the center console uses an attractive-looking material and the dashboard has a long, wide vent above the touchscreen. There are also a liquid crystal dashboard with a sleek frame and extensive steering wheel controls to facilitate driver's operation.

The 01's global version is available as both fuel-burning vehicle and plug-in hybrid (PHEV). The oil-fueled version carries a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that pumps out 254PS, hooked up to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The PHEV version's powertrain combines a 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine with a plug-in hybrid system, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
