Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Skywell, a young all-electric PV brand launched in late 2019, is going to roll out four all-new full-electric models over the next five years, according to a product planning exposed by a local media outlet.

To be specific, the startup will launch two sedans models in 2021. In 2022, the ET5, Skywell's first production model, and one of sedans launched in 2021 will get their revisions.

Besides, the automaker plans to unveil an all-new SUV model and further upgrade the ET5 in 2023, and the reworked versions of the sedans launched in 2021 will be released at the same time. In 2024, a fire new sedan and an all-new MPV model are likely to be known to the public.

In late July 2020, Skywell announced the official launch of the ET5 mid-sized pure electric SUV, which is priced from 152,800 yuan ($22,856) to 198,800 yuan ($29,737) after subsidy.

Skywell and its first strategic model simultaneously came into the public's view in last December. Featuring a tagline “Skywell: All is Well”, the brand is set to manufacture all-electric passenger vehicles.

Less than a week after the name laid bare to the public, the startup announced its “2+4+N” strategy, under which it planned to roll out four all-new models based on two platforms—the “BE” platform targets affordable BEV models and the “CE” will be available to mid- & full-sized models in higher position—over the next five years.

Jiangsu Skywell Automobile Co.,Ltd, the operator behind the brand, was founded on November 1, 2019, and is wholly-owned by Sky-well New Energy Automobile Group, according to the company information search platform Tianyancha. Its business scope extends to cover the R&D, manufacture and sale of complete vehicles and auto parts, as well as the NEV-related technology development and transfer.

Tianyancha still shows that Huang Hongsheng, the founder of the leading global television brand Skyworth, serves as the legal representative of Jiangsu Skywell. In 2010, Mr. Huang set up Sky-well New Energy Automobile Group, which was granted the access of PV manufacturer by China's MIIT in 2017 and went through the inspection for the access of NEV manufacturer.
