FAW to unveil three VW-branded new models at Auto Shanghai 2021

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- FAW-Volkswagen is about to unveil three new heavyweight Volkswagen-branded models, namely the Talagon, the ID.6 CROZZ and the eighth-generation Golf GTI, at the Auto Shanghai 2021.

As Volkswagen brand's all-new B+ segment SUV, the Talagon will make its world's debut at the upcoming auto exhibition. It measures 5,152mm in length, even longer than that of the Audi Q7. The wheelbase of 2,980mm is longer than that of such luxury SUV models as the BMW X5 and the Porsche Cayenne.

Adopting Volkswagen's latest design language, the Talagon features a classy front thanks to the large grille combined with the headlights on both sides. The simple lines contribute to a spiffy side profile. Besides, the taillight cluster running through the rear is inspired by the Audi Q8.

The large-sized all-electric SUV ID.6 CROZZ is the second MEB-based model Volkswagen launches in China. Inheriting the design of the ID. ROOMZZ concept, the new SUV will come with two seating arrangements—six-seater and seven-seater—to offer users flexible space solution.

The ID.6 CROZZ measures 4,891mm long, 1,848mm wide and 1,697mm tall with a wheelbase that spans 2,965mm.

As one of the most successful models of Volkswagen brand, the Golf has gained nearly 40 million users around the globe. Last year, the eighth-generation China-made Golf hit the market and is well received by consumers by virtue of the upgrades in digital, intelligent and connected performance.

The GTI version of the all-new Golf will be showcased at this year's Auto Shanghai. Regarding power performance, the made-in-China version will be powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that pumps 220PS and 350N·m, mated to a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission.
