Shanghai (Gasgoo)- The first EV charging stations under ZEEKR Power, the energy supply sub-brand of Geely's premium EV brand ZEEKR, was recently launched in Hangzhou, the capital of east China's Zhejiang province, according to ZEEKR. They will start operation after the delivery of the ZEEKR 001 all-electric cars kicked off next month.

ZEEKR announced the launch of ZEEKR Power at the Chengdu Motor Show 2021 in August, envisioning an energy supply network composed of large-sized charging stations and multiple practical functions designed to facilitate users' EV charging.

To satisfy different users' demands, ZEEKR Power's self-operating EV charging stations are divided into three types, namely, the “ultra-charging” and the “supercharging”, which were the newly launched ones, and the “light charging”.

Using the “ultra-charging” facility, a ZEEKR 001 can be recharged to 80% from 10% of its battery capacity within only 30 minutes, according to ZEEKR. Notably, a 5-minute charging can add 120km of NEDC-rated range for the ZEEKR 001 WE single-motor ultra-long-range version.

Thanks to the full-system liquid-cooled high-power charging technology, the current outputs of the “ultra-charging” pile are 30% higher than that of the conventional liquid-cooled charging system of the same specification.

The “ultra-charging” station supports the plug-and-play and non-inductive payment functions for ZEEKR 001’s car owners. Some valet services like car move and charging are expected to be launched in the future.

Under ZEEKR Power, the “supercharging” station is equipped with supercharging piles rated 60 to 120kW to serve diverse types of vehicles.

Among ZEEKR Power's energy supply solutions, the “light charging” stations will be deployed wider than the aforementioned two. It is built to serve the users, who want to make cars charged after reaching their destinations, with 20kW DC charging piles.
