Geely’s BEV brand Geometry said to introduce Huawei’s HarmonyOS
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Geometry, the all-electric car brand under Geely Auto, plans to have its vehicles armed with Huawei's Harmony Operating System (HarmonyOS), as part of efforts to exploit the mid-/high-end EV market, according to a local media outlet, citing people with direct knowledge.
The automaker has not confirmed the information as of press time.
According to the “Smart Geely 2025” strategy Geely released on Oct. 31, from 2022 onwards, there will be over 5 Geometry-branded models built on BEV platforms (including the Sustainable Experience Architecture) to be launched by 2025. Of those, a small-sized SUV riding on the all-new compact economy full-electric car platform is expected to be launched next year.
Geely Auto Group aims to achieve 3 million vehicles in annual sales across the Geely Auto, Lynk & Co, and Geometry brands by 2025. Among the Group's 2025 target, new energy vehicles will account for 30%, amounting to 900,000 units per year, one third of which should be contributed by Geometry.
