Li Shufu resigns as Chairman of Zhejiang Geely New Energy CV Group
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Li Shufu has resigned as Chairman of Zhejiang Geely New Energy Commercial Vehicle Group (GCV), and the position is taken over by Zhou Jianqun, who also assumes as GCV's general manager, according to the corporate information query platform Qichacha.
In the meantime, An Conghui also dropped the seat at GCV's board of directors.
Founded in February 2016, GCV involves a registered capital of 500 billion yuan ($78.51 million) and is wholly held by Zhejiang Geely Holding Group (Geely Holding). Headquartered in Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang province, GCV principally engages in the R&D and production of commercial vehicles, and the operation of relevant marketing business. Brands under the management of GCV include Farizon Auto, CAMC, and Ouling Auto.

GCV unveiled in early Nov. its next-generation smart new energy semi-truck, the Homtruck, under Farizon Auto, with production and first deliveries planned for early 2024. The company expects the model to be one of the most advanced and cleanest commercial vehicles on the road which focuses on efficiency, driver and pedestrian safety, and boasts major breakthroughs in sustainable powertrains.
It is noteworthy that Li Shufu also quitted as the legal representative of Geely Technology Group in early January this year, handing over the reins to Xu Zhihao, who also plays his role as the company's CEO.
