Great Wall Motor celebrates 2021 revenue surpassing RMB136.3 billion

Beijing (Gasgoo)- China’s Great Wall Motor reported prominent annual performance results for the year 2021, with revenue growing over 30% year on year.

According to the company’s report, it saw a 31.95% year-on-year surge in revenue, at RMB136.317 billion. The net profit of the automaker amounted to RMB6.781 billion in the year, increasing 26.45% from a year ago. The average sales price per vehicle equaled over RMB106,400, also growing 14.5% compared to 2020.  

In 2021, Great Wall Motor had strived to transition to an intelligent technology company with a global vision. The company released a 2025 strategy for electrification and intellectualization.

The boost in its performance results from the company’s efforts in its product lineup. In the past year, Great Wall Motor launched the independent TANK brand and introduced its high-end EV brand, Shalong. The automaker put over 30 new models in 2021.

Additionally, Great Wall Motor plans to continue laying out in the foreign market. In 2022, the company’s WEY Coffee 01 and the TANK series models will be available to global consumers. The automaker’s HAVAL, ORA, and GWM Pickup lines will also expand their market share overseas, especially in Russia, Australia, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Chile. The company aims to keep on exploring the European and Thai markets in 2022.
