Lifan Technology posts 1,661.11% YoY surge in Jan. 2022 auto sales
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Lifan Technology, a Chinese automaker backed by Geely Technology Group, announced on Thursday it sold 1,902 vehicles in Jan. 2022, representing a 1,661.11% year-on-year hike and a 1.7% month-on-month growth.
The new vehicles sold last month were all new energy vehicles (NEVs).
The company said its monthly auto outputs stood at 329 units in January, leaping 181.2% from the previous year. The production volume was entirely contributed by NEVs as well.

Lifan Technology is dedicated to the R&D, production, and sales of passenger vehicles, motorcycles, and general gasoline engines. As for the automobile business, it primarily engages in producing NEVs. Its first battery swappable model, the 80V, is positioned as a B-segment MPV that allows for 60-second fast battery swap.
Chongqing Livan Automotive Technology Company Limited (“Livan Automotive”), the joint venture Lifan Technology builds with Geely Auto, has completed the industrial and commercial registration procedures, and obtained the business license issued by the local authority of Liangjiang New District, Chongqing, Geely Auto announced on Jan. 24.
Livan Automotive will launch a range of powertrain products in the future. To be specific, it will be dedicated to creating an intelligent battery swapping ecosystem and providing the market with competitive battery swapping products and services.
