Joyson Electronics breaks ground on new industrial base in Hefei
Beijing (Gasgoo)- China’s auto parts supplier Joyson Electronics’ auto safety arm, Joyson Safety Systems, has started the construction of its new industrial base in Hefei, Anhui province, the company announced on April 6th.

The base is Joyson Safety Systems' third R&D center and seventh smart factory in China. Phase one of the project has an estimated production value of RMB2.5 billion ($392.9 million) yearly. The base will be put to work by the end of 2023.
Joyson Safety Systems' main products in China include advanced sensors, head-side airbags, driver monitoring systems, occupant classification sensors, intelligent steering wheels, and event prevention and protection systems.
With onboard safety becoming more and more valued by automakers and consumers, Joyson Safety Systems' products have been deployed to the supply chains of various well-known automakers in China, including NIO, Li Auto, XPeng, BYD, and SAIC Motor. The company has entered into the large-scale production phase.
Since the beginning of 2022, Joyson Safety System has landed RMB4.2 billion ($660.1 million) worth of new orders in China, and RMB4.5 billion ($707.22 million) in Europe. For the first two months of this year, the company has brought in RMB5.2 billion ($817.24 million) of revenue. Up to now, the company has accumulated RMB220 billion ($3.46 billion) of on-hand orders amount.
