JAC Group's EV sales surge 67.42% YoY in first quarter
Beijing (Gasgoo)- In the third month of 2022, JAC Group saw prominent growth in battery-electric passenger vehicles sales and overall export volume, according to the group’s report released on April 8th.

In March, JAC Group sold 42,711 vehicles, 23,717 of which were passenger vehicles, up 21.69% from February but down 21.64% year on year. From January to March, the accumulative sales volume of the group amounted to 129,366 vehicles, representing an 11.67% decline compared to a year ago.
Since 2021, JAC Group has introduced a slew of new energy models in both passenger vehicle and commercial vehicle sectors, contributing to the carbon neutrality strategy. The group’s March pure-battery vehicle sales amounted to 14,264 vehicles, jumping 55.04% year over year. In the first quarter of 2022, the group sold 40,051 battery-electric vehicles cumulatively, representing a 67.42% surge .
Meanwhile, JAC Group’s overseas business is also booming. In March, the group shipped 7,491 vehicles abroad, soaring 92.52% from the year-ago period. In the first three months of 2022, the accumulative export volume of the group amounted to 23,421 vehicles, surging 55.7% compared to the previous year. Named enterprises like DHL, Pepsi, Carrefour, and Nestle are clients of JAC Group in Brazil.
