ARCFOX postpones price rise effective date to May 16

Beijing (Gasgoo)- BAIC Group’s premium electric vehicle brand ARCFOX postponed the effective date of the previously announced price rise from May 1st to May 16th.

Starting May 16th, the αT and αS will see a price hike of RMB5,400 ($817) on several existing trims. 

Specifically, the adjusted price of the αT 653S+ trim and the αT H trim will be RMB282,300 ($42,700) and RMB325,300 ($49,204), respectively. Meanwhile, the price of the αS 708S+ trim will increase to RMB287,300 ($43,457), and the αS 603H trim will be priced at RMB350,300 ($52,986).

Originally, ARCFOX announced on April 6th that it had scheduled a price increase on May 1st over some of its models on the market without disclosing specific plans. The company said it would release more information about the price rise before April 30th. Notably, among the slew of new energy vehicle makers that raised their product prices in China, a few left a grace period for customers to purchase as soon as they could, but ARCFOX is the only one to postpone its effective date. 

In addition, the HUAWEI Inside technology-powered αS HI model will officially hit the market on May 7th.
