XPeng lays foundation stone for auto parts industrial park in Zhaoqing, Guangdong
Beijing (Gasgoo)- On May 30th, China’s electric vehicle startup XPeng inked a cooperation framework agreement with the administrative committee of the High Technology Industrial Development Zone of Zhaoqing city, Guangdong province, to build an industrial park for supporting auto parts.
The two parties will establish a joint recruitment working mechanism and government-enterprise communication mechanism to promote the settlement of XPeng’s up/downstream industrial chain project in the city.

Recently, Zhaoqing city is actively constructing its own national-level new energy intelligent vehicle industrial park, intelligent connected vehicle pilot zone, and strategy demonstration zone for carbon neutrality and emission peak. The city has put aside 45 square kilometers of land for the project, namely Zhaoqing Dawang New Energy Intelligent Vehicle Industrial City.
XPeng’s auto parts industrial park is part of the project. Phase I of the industrial park will take up 1,048 mu of land (698,667 square meters), forming a comprehensive and focused industrial chain with global competitiveness, covering areas like complete vehicles, batteries, electric motors, electronic control, lightweight technologies of automobiles, and the aftermarket.
The startup expects to attract 80 to 100 companies within the industrial chain to the industrial park, within two to three years.
