JAC Group May sales jump about 30% MoM
Beijing (Gasgoo)- In the fifth month of 2022, JAC Group saw its monthly sales volume recover from April, and its new energy vehicle sales and export volume both posted positive year-on-year growth.

In May, JAC Group sold 35,361 vehicles in total, indicating a 29.12% jump from a month earlier, but still remained 20.34% shorter than the previous year. In the first five months of this year, JAC Group’s cumulative sales volume amounted to 192,114 vehicles, down 21.22% compared to the same span last year.
In May, JAC Group’s SUV sector sold 16,712 vehicles, representing a 14.38% year-on-year increase. With 900 vehicles sold in the month, the group’s MPV sector reported a 70.59% decline from a year ago. Meanwhile, JAC Group’s sedan sector achieved a 198.35% year-over-year soar in sales, with 3,607 vehicles sold in May.
Among all the passenger vehicles sold in May, 14,241 units were battery-electric, surging 52.21% year over year. By the end of May, the group has sold 61,963 battery-electric passenger vehicles this year, jumping 40.96% from a year earlier.
Additionally, JAC Group shipped 8,839 vehicles overseas in the past month, indicating a 34.41% increase compared to a year ago.
