GAC Honda’s e:NP1 all-electric SUV starts at 175,000 yuan
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- The e:NP1, the first production model under GAC Honda’s all-electric vehicle brand e:NP, officially hit the market on June 20. Coming with four trim levels, the new model is priced between 175,000 yuan ($26,180) and 218,000 yuan ($32,620) after subsidies.
The e:NP1 made its debut at the Auto Guangzhou 2021 in November last year. Its Chinese name “Ji Pai 1” was announced on March 29 this year, when GAC Honda launched the brand “e:NP” (named “Ji Pai” in Chinese).

Adopting Honda Motor's all-new design language “e:N Design”, the e:NP1’s front features a sealed-off grille and a luminescent "H" emblem in the middle. The charging port is behind the front logo.

At the rear, a new “Honda” emblem replaces the traditional “H” marque and a full-width LED light strip accentuates the model's width.
The e:NP1 is an SUV that measures 4,390mm long, 1,790mm wide, and 1,560mm tall, with a wheelbase that spans 2,610mm.

With a spiffy and stylish interior, the e:NP1 is equipped with a 10.25-inch liquid crystal dashboard and a 15.2-inch vertically-installed console-mounted display armed with the Honda CONNECT 3.0 in-car connected system, which supports over 20 functions including AI voice assistant, energy management, and OTA.
The e:NP1 comes with two power solutions: the one carries an electric motor that churns out up to 150kW and 310 N·m, and delivers a CLTC range of 510km; the other is armed with a 134kW electric motor and is capable of a 420km range under CLTC test cycle.
GAC Honda plans to roll out one all-electric model under the e:NP brand per year by 2025.
Honda Motor (China) Investment Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Honda Motor in China, announced on June 20 that GAC Honda has began construction of its new EV plant.
Located in the Guangzhou Economic and Technological Development District, Guangzhou city, GAC Honda's EV-dedicated production plant will cover an area of 400,000 square meters and involve a total investment of 3.49 billion yuan ($522.197 million). The plant is expected to begin operation in 2024 with an annual production capacity of 120,000 units.
In China, Honda is planning to introduce 10 e:N Series EV models by 2027. The EV plant of GAC Honda will serve as a core operation of Honda EV production in China, together with the new EV plant which will be built by Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. and is planned to begin operation in 2024.
