Chery Holding’s export volume reach record high in June
Beijing (Gasgoo)- In the sixth month of 2022, Chery Holding saw its sales volume surge from a month and a year ago, with its export volume hitting a record high.

In June, Chery Holding sold 105,005 vehicles, representing a 43.6% surge year on year, and a 23% jump month on month. In the first half of this year, the cumulative sales volume of the automaker amounted to 475,250 vehicles, up 12% compared to a year earlier.
Specifically, Chery Auto sold 79,412 vehicles last month, zooming up 58.5% year over year. In the Jan.-Jun. period, Chery Auto saw a cumulative sales volume of 357,429 vehicles, increasing 25.9% from the year-ago period. Chery’s first global-oriented model, the OMODA 5 has kicked off presale in June, and can be expected to officially hit the market on July 12th.
In the meantime, the group’s EXEED and JETOUR brands sold 3,362 and 15,036 vehicles respectively in June, indicating a respective 11.3% and 32.8% year-on-year growth. Accoridng to the group’s plan, EXEED will only sell new energy vehicles in 2023.
On the other hand, Chery Holding’s performance has successfully carried out overseas. By the end of June, its year-to-date export volume has accounted for 31% of the group’s total sales. In June, the group’s single-month export volume reached 350,000-vehicle mark for the first time. In the first six months, Chery Holding shipped 148,245 vehicles, up 24.9% year over year.
In addition, the group’s new energy vehicle sales summed up to 112,278 vehicles in the first half of 2022, soaring 177.5% from a year ago.
