Geely Auto scores 26% YoY jump in June sales

Beijing (Gasgoo)- In June, China’s major automaker, Geely Automobile Holdings Limited (Geely Auto), achieved growing momentum in its monthly sales volume over the previous month and year.

In the sixth month of 2022, Geely Auto sold a total of 126,595 vehicles, surging 42% from May and 26% from a year earlier. From January to June, the accumulative sales volume of the automaker amounted to 613,842 vehicles, notching down 3% year over year.

To be specific, the Geely brand sold 104,164 vehicles in the past month, indicating a 25% jump from a year ago. With 12,163 vehicles sold in June, the group’s EV brand Geometry scored a 175% hike compared to the earlier year.

In the meantime, Geely Auto’s jointly owned brand with Volvo Cars, Lynk & Co, sold 13,193 vehicles, declining 23% year over year. For the first six months of 2022, the accumulative sales volume of the brand totaled 77,258 vehicles, which was 28% less than a year ago.

In the same month, Lynk & Co delivered 377 vehicles via subscription in Europe, plummeting 74% from May. In the past six months, the brand has delivered 6,253 vehicles through subscription in the European market.  

In June, Geely Auto’s high-end EV brand, ZEEKR, delivered 4,302 ZEEKR 001s, which was 28 units shorter than the result in May. The cumulative delivery volume of the brand amounted to 19,010 vehicles by the end of June this year.

Moreover, the automaker’s jointly owned brand with Lifan Auto, Livan Auto, sold 4,936 vehicles in the past month, climbing up 22.48% from the earlier month. 

Additionally, Geely Auto shipped 22,852 vehicles overseas in June, representing an impressive 224% soar year over year. In the first half of 2022, the group shipped 87,628 vehicles, zooming up 64% from a year ago.
