Great Wall Motor’s TANK brand sales almost double YoY in June

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Great Wall Motor sold 101,186 vehicles in June, edging up 0.52% compared to a year ago, with the TANK brand almost doubling its monthly sales year over year.

From January to June, Great Wall Motor sold 518,525 vehicles cumulatively, representing a 16.12% decline from the year-ago period. The automaker sold a total of 62,823 vehicles overseas in the first half of this year, accounting for 12% of the group’s total sales volume. 

In the sixth month of 2022, HAVAL and WEY were the only two brands that saw a year-over-year decline in sales, with a respective volume of 51,274 and 2,887 vehicles. 

With 11,516 vehicles sold, ORA saw a 6.72% year on year increase in June. In the first half of 2022, ORA’s cumulative sales volume summed up to 59,126 vehicles, climbing up 12.52% from a year ago.

Meanwhile, Great Wall Motor’s popular off-roader brand, TANK, sold 14,258 vehicles in June, skyrocketing 99.13% from the previous year. The brand’s mainstay model, the TANK 300, has accumulated a delivery volume of over 130,000 vehicles since it hit the market. 

Additionally, Great Wall Motor sold 13,451 vehicles overseas in the month. For the first six months this year, the accumulative export volume of the company summed up to 62,823 vehicles. Up to now, the automaker has carried out its business to over 170 countries and regions globally, with nearly 700 sales channels established.
