Faurecia announces appointment of new president for China operation

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Faurecia, the company of the Group FORVIA, announced today that Ma Chuan, President of Faurecia Seating in China, will assume the role of President of Faurecia China, effective September 1, 2022.

Mr. Ma will take over the position from François Tardif, who will serve as Executive Vice President of Faurecia Asia and Automotive Electronics arm with his new office located in Saitama, Japan.

Mr. Ma is the first Chinese to hold the president-level position in Faurecia, indicating the company's resolution to further explore the Chinese market.

According to the company's press release, Mr. Ma joined Faurecia in 2009 and held several important executive positions. In 2016, he was appointed as Vice President of Faurecia Seating in China. In November 2017, Mr. Ma was promoted to President of Faurecia Seating in China, taking charge of the management and operation of the company's seating system business in the world's largest auto market.

Up until now, Faurecia has around 20,400 staff members in China (including 1,300 engineers). It has already deployed in the country 6 technology centers, 11 R&D hubs, as well as 65 factories.
