Dongfeng Motor Group sales jump 24% YoY
Beijing (Gasgoo)- Dongfeng Motor Group Co., Ltd. (Dongfeng Motor Group) sold 238,413 vehicles in July, jumping 24% year over year.

In the first seven months of this year, the group’s cumulative sales volume reached 1,472,588 vehicles, down 8.92% over a year ago.
In the passenger vehicle sector, Dongfeng Motor Group sold 216,183 vehicles in July, representing a 33.33% increase from the previous year.
Specifically, the group’s wholly-owned brand, Dongfeng Fengshen (AEOLUS), sold 15,786 vehicles in the past month, surging 73.4% year over year. In the first seven months of this year, AEOLUS’ cumulative sales volume amounted to 99,829 vehicles, indicating a 91.1% soar from a year ago. With 34,011 vehicles sold, the year-to-date sales of AEOLUS-branded new energy vehicles (NEVs) have surpassed the brand’s annual NEV sales volume in 2021.
In the meantime, the group’s premium NEV brand, VOYAH, sold 1,793 vehicles, jumping 49.2% over the previous month. Its latest Dreamer MPV model, which started delivery on July 16th, has attracted over 10,000 orders so far.
As to the group’s joint venture brands, Dongfeng Peugeot Citroën sold 10,025 in July, resulting in a cumulative sales volume of 66,395 vehicles in the first seven months of the year, growing 38.9% year over year.
Meanwhile, Dongfeng Nissan (including Nissan, Venucia, and Infiniti brands) sold 90,861 vehicles in July, resulting in a year-to-date sales volume of 556,510 vehicles by the end of July.
Lastly, Dongfeng Honda saw an 89.9% year-on-year surge in July sales, which came in at 79,184 vehicles. In the first seven months of the year, the joint venture sold 416,967 vehicles in total.
