Foryou Multimedia, Lochn Optics team up on development of optical waveguide AR-HUD tech

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Foryou Multimedia Electronics Co., Ltd. ("Foryou Multimedia"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Foryou Corporation, entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with Shenzhen Lochn Optics Technology Co., LTD. ("Lochn Optics") on Sept. 15 to jointly develop the optical waveguide AR-HUD technology, according to a post on Foryou Corporation's WeChat account.

Under the agreement, both parties will join hands to promote the application of the optical waveguide technology in onboard HUDs, so as to offer more competitive optical waveguide AR-HUD products to automakers worldwide.

As an important human-machine interface that connects drivers to ADAS (advanced driver assistance systems), AR-HUD has become a significant part of the smart cockpit and intelligent driving system, Foryou Corporation said. The fresh cooperation is expected to help optimize the AR-HUD industrial ecosystem and boost an in-depth fusion of the optical waveguide technology and the AR-HUD market, providing users with a safer and more interesting life of intelligent cars.

Founded in 2014, Lochn Optics specializes in the development of AR waveguide technology, process and production. Its major products are Reflective Waveguide and Diffractive Waveguide modules, which are widely used in the fields of fashion, tourism, education, healthcare, emergency relief etc. as core components of the next generation of intelligent information technology terminals (such as AR glasses and helmets), according to the company's introduction posted on its website.
