Dongfeng Motor Group's YTD passenger vehicle sales up 3.7% YoY
Beijing (Gasgoo)- In September, Dongfeng Motor Group Company Limited (Dongfeng Motor Group) sold 199,037 vehicles, representing a 10.7% decrease from a year ago.

In the first nine months of this year, the group’s cumulative sales volume reached 1,881,203 vehicles, notching down 7.01% year over year.
In the passenger vehicle sector, Dongfeng Motor Group sold 177,503 vehicles in September, down 6.7% from the previous year. In the past nine months of 2022, the group sold 1,644,348 passenger vehicles in total, representing a 3.7% growth year-on-year.
Sepcifically, the group’s premium new energy vehicle (NEV) brand, VOYAH, delivered 2,519 vehicles in the past month, which edged up 3.7% over the previous month and shot up 98% over a earlier year. In the first nine months of 2022, VOYAH’s cumulative sales volume summed up to 13,619 vehicles.
As to the group’s joint ventures, Dongfeng Peugeot Citroën sold 13,945 vehicles in the ninth month of 2022, representing a 72.1% surge from a year ago. By the end of September, the company’s cumulative sales volume amounted to 90,424 vehicles in 2022, hiking up 46.10% year over year.
Meanwhile, Dongfeng Nissan (including Nissan, Venucia, and Infiniti brands) sold 93,629 vehicles last month, resulting in a year-to-date sales volume of 863,115 vehicles by the end of the month, down 11.14% compared to a year ago.
Lastly, Dongfeng Honda saw a 32.9% year-on-year decline in September sales, which came in at 43,884 vehicles. In the Jan.-Sept. period, the joint venture sold 511,840 vehicles in total, notched down 4.51% from the same period last year.
