BAIC BluePark sees 76.1% YoY surge in Oct. sales

Beijing (Gasgoo)- BAIC BJEV, the subsidiary of BAIC BluePark New Energy Technology Co.,Ltd. ("BAIC BluePark"), saw its monthly production and sales volume jump significantly over a year ago in October, BAIC BluePark announced on November 3.

In the past month, the automaker produced 1,840 vehicles, almost doubled from a year ago. In the first ten months of the year, BAIC BJEV produced a total of 14,816 vehicles, representing a 229.6% soar year-on-year. 

In October, the company’s sales volume amounted to 5,569 vehicles, soaring 124.2% compared to the previous year. From January to October, BAIC BJEV’s cumulative sales volume reached 19,458 vehicles, surging 76.1% from a year ago. 

BAIC BluePark previously said on the investor platform, that the company plans to promote the brand awareness and sales of ARCFOX premium electric vehicle brand from the product level, sales channel level, and marketing level. Up to now, the automaker has put several vehicle models onto the market, built more than 170 distributor channels, and completed the first OTA upgrade on the new Huawei-powered α HI.

According to the company’s third quarter financial report released on October 30, BAIC BluePark saw a 39.15% year-on-year drop in its quarterly revenue, which stood at 2.2 billion yuan ($304.4 million). In the Jul.-Sept. period, BAIC BluePark’s net loss attributable to shareholders came in at 1.3 billion  yuan ($180.2 million).
