Aiways celebrates 10,000th vehicle rolling off production line

Beijing (Gasgoo)- China’s new energy vehicle startup Aiways celebrated its 10,000th vehicle rolling off the production line at its Shangrao intelligent factory in Jiangxi Province on November 3.

The milestone vehicle is Aiways’ signature electric smart SUV, the U5, which is also the first production model manufactured at the Shangrao intelligent factory. According to the startup, the U5 is the first intelligent pure-electric SUV certified by the EU Whole Vehicle Type-Approval System (WVTA) in China’s A+ segment. With its solid quality and forward-looking strategy, the U5 has been successfully exported to 20 countries and regions worldwide, including to Germany, France, and Belgium. The model is exceptionally popular in Israel, Aiways said. 

Up to now, Aiways has completed the deployment of its global sales network, with 155 stores across the world, marking a step further in reinforcing its global influence. In China, Aiways currently holds nearly 200 stores in 120 cities, indicating that its sales channels from coastal to inland have basically taken shape. 

Dedicated to in-house development and manufacture, all Aiways-branded vehicles are produced in the digital and physical twin factories built in compliance to the industry 4.0 standards. Moreover, the factory, which holds great potential and a stable momentum of development in the channels of intelligent manufacturing, product testing, logistics, marketing, services, and so on, has attracted local investments worth more than 32 billion yuan ($4.4 billion).
