FAW-Toyota releases all-new CROWN brand

Beijing (Gasgoo)- FAW-Toyota, the joint venture between FAW Group and Toyota Motor, introduced its all-new CROWN brand at an online event on November 15.

Originated in 1955, the high-end Toyota CROWN made its debut in China in 1964. The 12th-generation CROWN sedan became locally-made in China in 2005 by FAW-Toyota, marking the brand’s first vehicle model to be produced overseas. 

In July this year, Toyota launched the all-new CROWN SportCross, a mid-size luxury crossover model, which will be introduced to the Chinese market as an imported model. 

According to Toyota, it plans to launch a new sedan model under the CROWN brand, CROWN Sedan. The SportCross, Sedan, Vellfire, and Kluger will complete the all-new CROWN brand’s product matrix, which covers four segments in the high-end auto market, including sedan, crossover, SUV, and MPV.

Moreover, CROWN plans to establish 12 showrooms in China by the end of 2022, and the number will be increased to 40 before 2025. In addition, the luxury brand will also upgrade its existing dealerships into 3rd-genaration stores for higher quality services.
