Specifically, SGMW's four auto parts warehouses in Qingdao, Chongqing, northwest and northeast China will be operated by JD Logistics, marking another important step in the two companies’ integration of domestic auto parts supply chain.
SGMW reached cooperation with JD Logistics as far back as 2019 to explore in the areas of integrated warehouse distribution, local goods pickup, and remote circular pickup. In August 2022, the partners also jointly facilitated the promotion and application of intelligent warehousing logistics technology, and further expanded their cooperation to the fields of inbound auto parts logistics and aftermarket auto parts logistics.
Under JD Logistics’ operation, the four SGMW warehouses will be provided with accurate inventory layout, effective redundant inventory management, and improved fund utilization rate. In addition, JD Logistics will lift up the delivery frequency from the four warehouses to SGMW’s dealerships across the country from twice a week to six times a week. By improving the service coverage reach of next-day delivery, consumers can obtain a better after-sales service experience.
