SERES Group’s annual NEV sales shoot up 225.9% YoY in 2022
Beijing (Gasgoo)- SERES Group, Huawei’s automaking partner previously known as Chongqing Sokon Industry Group, witnessed a substantial growth in its new energy vehicle (NEV) sales in 2022.

In December 2022, SERES Group sold 24,171 vehicles, representing a 22.77% increase month-over-month but a 15.12% drop year-over-year. For the year of 2022, the group’s cumulative sales volume summed up to 267,246 vehicles, edging up 0.24% from a year ago.
With 16,643 vehicles sold, the group’s NEV sector boasted a 170.62% year-over-year leap and a 42.72% month-on-month surge in December sales. In the entire past year, the group sold a total of 135,054 NEVs, reflecting an impressive 225.9% hike over the year-ago period.
Specifically, a total of 10,157 NEVs sold in the past month were from SERES Auto, which owns two brands (SERES and AITO), up 22.94% over November while zooming up 304.02% year over year. In 2022, the cumulative sales volume of SERES Auto's vehicles amounted to 80,041 units, shooting up 626.39% over the previous year. Notably, AITO’s cumulative delivery volume in 2022 summed up to over 75,000 vehicles, according to the automaker’s recent announcement.
