BAIC BJEV’s 2022 annual sales surge 92.06% YoY

Beijing (Gasgoo)- BAIC BJEV, the subsidiary of BAIC BluePark New Energy Technology Co.,Ltd. ("BAIC BluePark"), saw a prominent growth in both annual production and sales volumes in 2022, BAIC BluePark announced today.

In the last month of 2022, the automaker produced 4,315 vehicles, representing a 345.3% soar year-over-year. For the year of 2022, BAIC BJEV produced a total of 22,216 vehicles, which leapt 248.81% from a year earlier. 

In December 2022, the company’s sales volume amounted to 9,863 vehicles, more than doubling from the previous year. In 2022, BAIC BJEV’s cumulative sales volume reached 50,179 vehicles, shooting up 92.06% year over year.

Notably, China’s ICT giant Huawei and the Beijing-based automaker, BAIC Group, are reportedly working on launching a new HUAWEI Smart Selection vehicle model, according to several recent local media posts in December.

According to the posts, the new cooperative model will be built on BAIC Group’s ARCFOX platform, but will not fall under the ARCFOX brand. The car can be expected to be sold via Huawei’s distribution network and officially hit the market in 2024.

Currently, ARCFOX already has a Huawei-powered vehicle model on the market, namely, the ARCFOX αS HI model, which was built under the ICT giant’s HUAWEI Inside cooperation pattern.
