Changan Shenlan delivers over 10,000 SL03 sedans in Dec. 2022

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Changan Automobile’s new energy vehicle-dedicated brand, Shenlan, witnessed its monthly deliveries surpass 10,000 vehicles in the last month of 2022, the automaker announced on January 2.

In December 2022, Shenlan delivered 11,650 units of its only production model on the market, the SL03 sedan, indicating a prominent 42% surge month-over-month. 

Positioned as Shenlan’s first strategic model, the SL03 hit the market with a comprehensive new energy lineup, offering battery-electric, range-extended, and fuel-cell power solutions. The SL03 is installed with Changan Auto’s proprietary Force super-integrated electric drive, the Force intelligent range extension system, intelligent domain controller, iBC digital battery management system, and many other mass-produced technologies. The traits demonstrate Changan Auto’s determination and achievement in the fields of automotive intelligence, new energy vehicle range, and electrification systems.

With its fine-tuned market strategy, the SL03 had attracted a lot of attention before it hit the market in July 2022. According to the automaker, the new model has secured over 10,000 orders in just 33 minutes after the price was announced, and continued to see its sales volume climb up over time. 

Notably, in a bid to demonstrate the brand’s commitment to its users, Shenlan now offers warranty for its range extension system and for used car owners as the first in the industry.
