Volkswagen ID. family sees 2022 annual China sales more than double YoY
Beijing (Gasgoo)- Volkswagen brand sold over 2.3971 million vehicles in the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong in the year 2022, representing a 1.3% drop over a year ago, according to Volkswagen’s announcement on January 13.

Notably, 79.2% of the NEVs delivered in China were pure-electric models from the ID. family. Volkswagen’s overall market share in the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong reached 11.4% through 2022.
Through 2022, Volkswagen sold 143,100 vehicles from its ID. electric-vehicle lineup in China, representing a 102.9% hike year-over-year. The ID.4 and ID.6 models ranked third in the compact and full-sized pure electric SUV segments in China, respectively.
