Dongfeng Motor inaugurates intelligent equipment industrial park in Shiyan, Hubei
Beijing (Gasgoo)- Dongfeng Motor Parts and Components Group saw its intelligent equipment industrial park officially start operation on January 16 in Shiyan city, Hubei Province.

The intelligent equipment industrial park is designed by Dongfeng Motor based on digitalization, automation, information technology, and intelligence. Its main products are automotive equipment products such as molds, machine tools, welding, digital intelligent technology, as well as high value-added auto parts like new energy vehicle decelerators, special assembly of off-road vehicles, high-end precision gears, and high-end lightweight products. The park features a designed annual production value of over 3 billion yuan.
The park also has the largest BIPV (Building Integrated Photovoltaics) project in Hubei Province, which can generate 460 million kW·h of clean electricity throughout its lifecycle, save 140,000 tonnes of standard coal, reduce 390,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emmisions, and save 560,000 tonnes of clean water.
The intelligent equipment industrial park is an important part of the “smart town” project deployed by Dongfeng Motor Parts and Components Group in Shiyan city. The project features a “one park, two zones, one forest, three centers” layout.
The one park is the aforesaid intelligent industrial park. The “two zones” indicates that the park is divided into two zones, namely, Dongfeng intelligent chassis park and Dongfeng intelligent equipment park. The forest represents the mountain park landscape surrounding the industrial park. The three centers refer to an R&D center, an information center, and a training center.
