Chery starts providing life-long vehicle warranties for car's first owners

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On February 1, China’s major automaker Chery Holding announced that starting from January 1, 2023, all purchase of its four mainstay brands’ vehicles will be entitled for a lifetime car warranty.

Specifically, first owners of non-operating vehicles under the EXEED, CHERY, JETOUR, and Chery New Energy brands, who signed in the store the "Chery vehicle lifetime warranty service agreement" and only come to Chery dealerships for maintenance, are eligible for the life-long warranty. 

Notably, Chery is the first mainstream Chinese indigenous automaker to offer such promise and service to users. Prior to this, Chery also proposed a lifetime warranty for the engines armed on its entire vehicle lineup. 

Since its establishment in 1997, Chery has long insisted in independent innovation and created a global system that includes six R&D centers in North America, Europe, Shanghai, etc. By the end of 2022, Chery had declared a total of 25,795 patents and obtained 17,177 authorized patents, of which 37% patents of inventions.

In 2022, Chery Holding's cumulative auto sales reached a historic high of 1,232,727 units, representing a 28.2% jump year-on-year. Among them, 451,337 vehicles were exported to overseas markets to reflect a surge of 67.7% from a year ago.
