Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On Feb. 8, NOVOSENSE Microelectronics (“NOVOSENSE”), a Chinese analog and mixed signal IC design company, announced the cooperation with Road-Broad Automotive Electronics (Qufu) Co. Ltd. (“Road-Broad”), a joint venture between Continental AG and Qufu Temb Auto Parts Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (TEMB), on a localization project of the wheel speed sensor, a key component of passenger vehicles.

The wheel speed sensor is used to monitor the rotating speed of the vehicle's wheels, and serves as a crucial component to such control systems as the anti-lock braking system (ABS), the electronic stability system (ESP), and the automatic transmission, which are all vital to the vehicle’s driving safety.
The new wheel speed sensor project will be set up at Continental Qufu Electronic Industry Base in the Qufu Economic Development Zone, whose ground-breaking took place on Feb. 8 as well.
"Based on technology innovation and a thorough understanding over the system, NOVOSENSE will provide Road-Broad with product solutions that meet the latter’s localization strategy and market demands, together boosting the development of more intelligent and secure automotive electronics technology,” said Wang Shengyang, chairman of NOVOSENSE.
