SAIC Roewe starts presale of all-new Roewe RX9 SUV

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On Feb. 15, Roewe, one of the brands under SAIC Motor Passenger Vehicle Company, started presale of the all-new Roewe RX9, a full-sized flagship SUV model to officially hit the market in early March.

The automaker said the all-new Roewe RX9 will be a six-seater SUV for family enjoyment priced below 200,000 yuan ($29,240), boasting a luxury cockpit comparable to those priced around 400,000 yuan ($58,480).

Aside from the six-seater layout, the new model’s cockpit can be flexibly changed to four- or five-seater arrangement, said Roewe.

The all-new Roewe RX9 measures 4,983mm long, 1,967mm wide, 1,786mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,915mm.

At the first and second rows, all trim levels of the new model will come standard with four independent aviation-grade seats in total, which can recline by 140 degrees, and offer seat ventilation and graphene heating massage functions.

As for intelligence facilities, the all-new Roewe RX9 is mounted with a 47-inch screen composed of three connected displays. The Luoshen intelligent cockpit system contains such functions as AI voice assistants and intelligent navigation, which are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, achieving smooth digital intelligent interaction. Besides, the theater-level BOSE full-seating sound system with 12 speakers allows users to enjoy a visual and auditory feast.

The all-new Roewe RX9 is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a maximum power of 172kW and carries a four-wheel drive system.
