Great Wall Motor announces foray into commercial vehicle field

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- IF YOU Technology Co., Ltd. (“IF YOU”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Great Wall Motor (GWM), unveiled its business direction on Feb. 22, marking GWM's foray into the commercial vehicle field, according to a post on GWM’s WeChat account.

With the support of Great Wall Motor' Forest Ecosystem, IF YOU will fully open its commercial vehicle business, promote the clean energy and automotive intelligence development of the commercial vehicle industry.

On the vehicle side, relying on the cutting-edge technology layout of GWM, IF YOU determines a development strategy that involves multiple technology paths, including hydrogen energy, pure electric, and hybrid electric.

At the same time, IF YOU is also making innovative attempts in the field of full-dimension intelligence, such as intelligent driving, intelligent cockpit, and intelligent services. It will provide customized products and services for different intelligent scenarios in the future.

On the solution side, IF YOU relies on artificial intelligence and big data capabilities to connect data from multiple scenarios in the transportation process, including long-haul, short-haul, urban distribution, and power replenishment, in order to achieve cost reduction and efficiency enhancement throughout the entire supply chain of the transportation industry.

Currently, IF YOU has deployed multiple demonstration projects combining its business directions. Of them, the hydrogen energy demonstration project in cooperation with HBIS Industrial Technology Service Co., Ltd. has started operation.

Besides, IF YOU has fulfilled the delivery of the first New Long March No. 1 heavy-duty hydrogen-powered tractors, with total volume for the project expected to be 200 units.
