Chinese brake-by-wire system supplier Global Technology bags nearly 400 million yuan in C round

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Global Technology, a Chinese brake-by-wire system provider, on Apr. 22 announced via its WeChat account that it recently closed its Series C financing with nearly 4 million yuan raised.

The fresh round attracted such new investors as China Capital Investment Group, Shenzhen Investment Holdings Capital, TSARI Capital, Guosen H & S, etc., as well as the returning investor Xin Ding Capital.

Prior to the latest financing round, Global Technology had received investments from well-known investment institutions, such as SB China Capital, FG Venture, Fortune Capital, Baidu Venture, China Securities, etc.

The company said 2023 is a year of breakthrough for Global Technology, with further improvement of its product matrix, and successful implementation and mass production of its product technologies. Currently, its annual production capacity of such main products as the EPB, ESC, GIBS, and GIBC, has all surpassed 1 million units, with an aim to lift the respective number to over 2 million units over the next three years.

At the ongoing Auto Shanghai 2023, Global Technology displays a slew of new products, including the EMB, the GIBC, the ESC, the iCDS, etc.

The GIBC (onebox) is the most innovative generation of brake-by-wire products of Global Technology, said the company. It can achieve faster brake response speed, provide a safer driving experience, generate smaller brake noise, and also fulfill the mission of energy-saving and emission reduction, and green environmental protection by achieving 100% energy recovery during braking. Due to the structural design of "decoupling-by-wire", no hydraulic pressure is generated in the caliper during the braking energy recovery process. Therefore, compared with traditional braking energy recovery systems, it can provide more comfortable and efficient braking energy recovery.
