Chery Holding, CATARC build several joint labs for smart NEV technologies

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On April 25, China Automotive Technology & Research Center (CATARC) and Chinese major automaker Chery Holding formed a partnership that covers such fields as automotive engineering technology services, digital business, information services, public services, and overseas deployment.

Under the cooperation, the duo will jointly build several joint laboratories for various technologies, including new energy vehicle, low-carbon power, and product experience testing, in order to boost the development of new energy intelligent connected vehicles.

As a comprehensive technology service group with extensive influence in the domestic and foreign automotive industry, CATARC has established a technical service capability covering the entire automotive industry chain and lifecycle, with industry think tank services, automotive product testing and certification, and forward-looking technology R&D as its core.

The two sides also unveiled the Chery Hybrid Power Laboratory, Intelligent Experience Testing Joint Innovation Laboratory, Chery New Energy Laboratory, and Functional Safety Joint Laboratory that they jointly built. CATARC awarded Chery Holding a Functional Safety Process Certification.
