SAIC-GM names new general manager
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Mr. Zhuang Jingxiong, who once served as deputy general manager of SAIC General Motors ("SAIC-GM"), has been promoted to general manager of the joint venture between SAIC Motor and General Motors, SAIC Motor announced on May 12.

Mr. Zhuang took over the position from Mr. Wang Yongqing, who has been transferred to the position of deputy chief economist of SAIC Motor due to work requirements.
Born in 1973, Zhuang Jingxiong holds a master's degree and is titled senior engineer. He has served as senior deputy manager of the manufacturing engineering department, executive director of the purchasing department, and deputy general manager at SAIC-GM, general manager of SAIC Motor's quality and economic operations department, as well as CEO of SAIC Mobility.
In recent years, SAIC-GM has been promoting the transition towards electric and intelligent vehicles, with innovative technologies such as the Ultium all-electric vehicle platform, VIP intelligent electronic architecture, the new-generation VCS intelligent cockpit, and the new-generation SUPER CRUISE super-assisted driving system accelerating their deployment. With extensive experience in production and manufacturing, operations management, strategic planning, and mobility services, Mr. Zhuang will lead SAIC-GM to further accelerate the pace of transformation and actively build a new layout for the future, while fully leveraging the advantages of electric and intelligent vehicles, said SAIC Motor.
