SAIC Volkswagen puts Lavida XR onto market, starting at 99,990 yuan

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On June 13, SAIC Volkswagen's Lavida family has officially launched its latest entry-level model - the Lavida XR. The new car comes with two trim levels, which are priced at 99,990 yuan and 109,990 yuan, respectively.

As a new addition to the Lavida series, this model leans towards an entry-level positioning. It is also built on the MQB platform, but with a more youthful design, available in five stunning body colors.

The overall design of the new car has taken on a youthful edge. The front end boasts a through-the-round LED light strip and comes standard with full LED headlights. The starry front face, familiar from previous models, now occupies the lower half of the car, not the entire grille. Paired with the dazzling body colors, the overall style is brimming with sportiness amidst its youthfulness.

In terms of body size, the new car measures 4,561/1,740/1,494mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 2,651mm. This is 117mm shorter and has a 37mm shorter wheelbase compared to the existing Lavida model, making it a smaller vehicle overall.

As for the interior, the new car comes in three themes: serene blue, misty green, and foggy grey. The standard features include an 8-inch LCD meter and an 8-inch touch screen, maintaining the mainstream Volkswagen Group interior ambiance.

When it comes to its configuration, the new car is equipped with a three-spoke sports steering wheel, reversing image, parking radar, keyless entry & one-button start functions, as well as wireless CarPlay & CarLife.

In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine, producing a maximum net output of 81kW, paired with the AISIN 6AT gearbox.
