NETA Auto to launch NETA GT without ‘eyebrow’ design in Q4 2023
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- In April of this year, NETA Auto, the Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) maker under HOZON Auto, launched its flagship pure electric sports car, the NETA GT, with an official price range of 178,800 yuan to 226,800 yuan. An iconic design element of this model is a pair of distinctive "eyebrow" features on the front hood. However, not all customers have appreciated this aesthetic decision, with some expressing the desire for a version without it.
In response to this feedback, NETA Auto's CEO, Zhang Yong, posted on his Sina Weibo account on June 14. He explained that during both the design and P3 development stages of the NETA GT, market research was conducted and the results indicated that the majority of people accepted the "eyebrow" design. Hence, it appears in the final product.

However, Zhang Yong also said, in response to feedback received since the NETA GT's launch, an adjusted version of the car without the eyebrows will be introduced to the market in the fourth quarter. This move offers consumers a choice between cars with or without the eyebrow feature. Furthermore, if customers change their minds at a later date, they have the option to modify the car's design through after-sales service, with the cost kept within 2,000 yuan.
The NETA GT is the second model built on NETA Auto’s Shanhai platform. It has a two-door, four-seat configuration, and its dimensions are 4,715mm*1,979mm*1,415mm, with a wheelbase of 2,770mm. The NETA GT also reserves six personalization extension zones in black areas such as the front and rear bumpers and side skirts, allowing customers to customize their cars further.
On the intelligent driving front, the car is equipped with NETA's self-developed NETA PILOT 2.5 intelligent driving assistance system and two Horizon Journey 3® chips. It comes with five high-definition cameras and five millimeter-wave radars.
According to publicly available data, in May, NETA Auto delivered 13,029 vehicles, an 18% year-on-year increase. The NETA GT recorded a monthly delivery volume of 1,716 units.
