Changan's DEEPAL sets up joint venture with StarPower Semiconductor

Beijing (Gasgoo)- DEEPAL, the new energy vehicle brand under Changan Automobile, recently announced the establishment of a new joint venture with StarPower Semiconductor.

The newly formed company is named Chongqing Anda Semiconductor Co., Ltd. The collaboration aims to advance the commercial application of automotive-grade power semiconductor modules and promote the high-quality development of power semiconductors in the new energy vehicle field in China.

DEEPAL focuses on the mainstream and expansive market of new energy vehicles. With a forward-looking strategic layout in production, research, supply, and demand, the company aims to provide users with reliable, technologically advanced, highly efficient, and worry-free electric mobility solutions. 

On the other hand, StarPower Semiconductor has long been committed to the research, production, and sales of power semiconductor chips and modules for new energy vehicles. It is one of the major suppliers of automotive-grade power modules for high-power applications in China’s new energy vehicle industry. In 2022 alone, StarPower Semiconductor supplied over 1.2 million new energy vehicles with automotive-grade modules.

The collaboration between DEEPAL and StarPower Semiconductor will bring more cutting-edge technologies and innovative achievements to the auto parts industry. The duo will pioneer the development of proprietary, secure, and controllable high-quality components, ensuring the stability of the supply chain for core technological components.
