Leapmotor, ZF to jointly develop smart chassis products

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Chinese new energy vehicle startup Leapmotor today announced that it has entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with ZF to collaborate closely in the field of intelligent chassis for passenger vehicles.

Under the agreement, the duo will jointly develop forward-looking and promising intelligent chassis products, enhance the technological strength of next-generation intelligent electric vehicles, and provide users with a more personalized, intelligent, and comfortable driving experience.

As well-known players in the automotive industry who value the technology-driven approach to vehicle manufacturing and components, Leapmotor and ZF will leverage their strong technological expertise and shared visions to achieve rapid project implementation. Additionally, Leapmotor plans to expand into the European market in the future, and ZF will support Leapmotor's overseas expansion by leveraging its brand influence in the European market.

As one of the world's largest automotive component suppliers, ZF is committed to providing comprehensive systemic solutions and products ranging from software to hardware for the automotive and industrial sectors. The company enables vehicles to see, think, and act through continuous efforts in the core technology areas of vehicle motion control, integrated safety systems, autonomous driving, and electric propulsion. 

Meanwhile, as a new energy vehicle startup in China, Leapmotor has always adhered to the principles of technological innovation and independent research and development. Up to now, Leapmotor holds proprietary technologies in all core areas crucial to smart electric vehicles. 

In May 2023, Leapmotor delivered a total of 12,058 vehicles, with over 10,000 units from the C lineup. Notably, deliveries of the C11 model reached over 7,100 units in May, refreshing its historic record.
