Great Wall Motor's premium off-road new energy SUV ‘TANK 500 Hi4-T' hits market

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Great Wall Motor's off-road SUV brand, TANK, put the TANK 500 Hi4-T onto the market on June 26. The new model, features a suggested retail price of 335,000 yuan.

Leveraging the advanced off-road super hybrid architecture Hi4-T, the TANK 500 Hi4-T is positioned as a mid-sized luxury new energy SUV. 

Under the hood, the TANK 500 Hi4-T features a powertrain combination of a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine paired with a 9HAT transmission, along with a P2 electric motor. With a maximum combined power output of 300 kW and a peak torque of 750 N·m, the TANK 500 Hi4-T offers robust power, responsiveness, and driving comfort. Despite its weight of over 2 tonnes, the TANK 500 Hi4-T achieves an impressive 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 6.9 seconds.

The TANK 500 Hi4-T is equipped with an advanced intelligent energy management system. The vehicle offers pure electric, hybrid, and intelligent driving modes for different driving requirements, including urban commuting, off-road conditions, and mixed road conditions. 

Thanks to the precise intelligent energy management, the TANK 500 Hi4-T achieves a comprehensive fuel consumption of only 2.2 L/100 km and an energy consumption of 9.55 L/100 km, resulting in an impressive range of 790 kilometers. With a 37.1 kWh battery, it provides a battery-only range of 110 km, meeting the weekly commuting needs of most urban users.

Moreover, the TANK 500 Hi4-T boasts a four-connected-screen setup composed of a 12.3-inch full-color digital instrument cluster, a 14.6-inch floating center console display, a 7-inch rear armrest screen, and a head-up display (HUD), providing clear and comprehensive driving information. 

In terms of intelligent driving, the TANK 500 Hi4-T offers practical features such as smart cruise control, 50-meter track reverse assistance, 360-degree panoramic camera, and automated parking.
